Vauxhall are one of the biggest vehicle manufacturers and have been the third best seller in the market. It is no wonder their cars are so popular, whether through car leasing or purchasing.
The adverts are particularly successful for Vauxhall including the C’mons for the Corsa. The latest ad for the Vectra may not be as catchy, but still has elegance and class, using a “movie” premier of the car.
Anyway onto the car. The engine is available in a 1.6 turbo petrol which is very powerful. However there is the 1.6 and 1.8 but require a much heavier foot on the gas. The diesels are available in a 1.7 or a 1.9.
It is a compact hatch with enough room, but not as much as a Focus. It is however a very good looking car. The seat inside are very comfortable as well. There are also sport hatchbacks available for those who want a better looking car with black alloys for that extra sophistication.
So is the Astra worth buying? A brand new Astra can start from nearly £14,000. This can be quote costly or finance can really not be worth it for you end up paying so much more. If you are looking for a brand new car but cannot afford one car leasing may be the solution for you. Vauxhall Astra leasing from many reputable dealers. You also don’t have the hassle of selling the car and you just pay for the usage, then trade in for a brand new one the following year. A car lease may be the way to go.

The new, updated Vauxhall Astra will be launched at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor show and images released by the manufacturer already have fans of the car drooling. After its initial debut at the Motor Show the Astra will be on general UK sale towards the end of the year.
One of the main selling points of the new Astra will be its increased cabin space. This mid-sized family car is often expected to carry up to five passengers in the average household so space is generally very important to buyers. The space within the body of the Astra has been increased and will deliver higher levels of comfort and space for both the driver and any front and back seat passengers.
The cabin of the Astra has also been given a more “premium” feel. Vauxhall have recognised that buyers are searching for value but also quality. The interior of the new Vauxhall Astra has elements of the Insignia and the wrap around instrument panel is particularly striking and well laid out. Vauxhall are aiming to raise the bar in the compact car class and early photos and press releases suggest they might just achieve this.
The popular outgoing Astra is still on sale, with prices starting from around £15,000 OTR. As with many new cars when a new model is set to be released dealers are keen to shift their existing stock, so shop around and haggle. You may grab yourself a real bargain. The current Astra is an impressive and successful car in its own right. It is available with a choice of engines in both petrol and diesel and boasts a five star NCAP crash test rating, so safety standards are high.
Vauxhall currently have a variety of deals in place for the Astra and all other models in their range. A popular deal available on the Astra currently is a zero percentage finance offer. The Government scrappage scheme could also save you a further £2000 if you have a car over 10 years old that you are willing to trade in against a new car.

Anyone that finds themselves always nipping into town to pick up a few bits or do some supermarket shopping might want to take notice of this. It seems that more people are ditching their gas-guzzling 4×4s and buying used Vauxhall cars instead that are easy to drive, park and don’t drink petrol like its going out of fashion.
Used Vauxhall cars are great for people who need something to get them from A to B in a cost-effective way. 4×4s used to be popular, but during the recession, people have realised that they can’t continue to afford filling up their costly motor and need something much smaller that they can use. You might be surprised to learn just how many people are ditching their luxury cars for something much more modest. In big cities where it’s all about status, some people were once reluctant to drive anything other than a car that indicated how wealthy they were. Now they’re opting for vehicles that don’t stand out in the crowd as much, but ones that offer supreme comfort and money-saving alternatives to motoring. Used Vauxhall cars are one such example.
Heading into town can be tedious at the best of times. The hustle and bustle of pedestrians and other drivers can make it quite a stressful experience, especially if you live in a big city. However, with the new found popularity of smaller cars, drivers are making their town commute a much more pleasant one. In terms of town runabout cars, Vauxhall is up there with the best. There’s no need to drag out the 4×4 when heading into town, as you’re going to be using more petrol just taking it into town than you would on long journeys. The reason for this is that 4×4s are not intended for town trips – their basic premise is to be used for off-roading purposes, and it is a common misconception nowadays that they should actually be used for doing school runs. Leave the gas-guzzler at home and take a used Vauxhall car instead – you’ll get much more value for money in petrol alone.
